Our Story

Mirza Mueen, a digital journalist and PR expert, has always been guided by strong ethical principles: advocating for human rights, supporting climate action, and promoting inclusivity and positive social change. These values, cultivated through his work at his PR agency, inspired him to take action for those whose voices are often silenced.

Through an online connection, Mirza met Ajas Khan, a Rohingya refugee living in Cox’s Bazar—the world’s largest refugee camp. In heartfelt conversations, Ajas shared the struggles, hopes, and resilience of the Rohingya people. Their discussions sparked a deep sense of responsibility to amplify the voices of the oppressed and fight for justice.

Motivated by this shared vision, Mirza and Ajas co-founded Rohingya Return—an advocacy organization committed to ensuring the Rohingya community’s safe return, full citizenship, justice, and humanitarian support. Today, Rohingya Return has a dedicated team of over 15 volunteers and collaborates with multiple partner organizations, working tirelessly to address the community’s urgent demands:
