The Rohingya people demand a safe and dignified return to our homeland in Rakhine State. This return is not relocation but restoration — of citizenship, safety, freedom, and dignity. Only by reclaiming our rightful place in society can we rebuild our lives free from fear and persecution.
We Rohingya refugees dream to return to our ancestral land in Arakan (Rakhine) state of Myanmar. A dignified return means restoring citizenship, ensuring safety and security, justice, freedom of movement, property rights, protection from persecution, free worship and equal opportunities. It is not merely relocation but the restoration of our rightful place in society, allowing us to rebuild ours lives without fear so we can live as respected and rightful citizens without fear or discrimination.
Existing conditions in Myanmar’s northern Rakhine State are nowhere near ready for Rohingya to return safely.
