The Rohingya people, a predominantly Muslim ethnic minority in Myanmar, have endured decades of systemic persecution. In August 2017, over 750,000 Rohingya fled to Bangladesh following violent military crackdowns in Myanmar’s Rakhine State. Despite international condemnation, the Myanmar military’s atrocities against the Rohingya continue. Reports indicate that these communities face forced labor, food and health crises, severe restrictions on movement, and escalating armed conflict. Amnesty International

According to Amnesty International, 95% of Rohingya households in Bangladesh depend on humanitarian assistance. Amnesty International However, funding shortfalls have led to significant reductions in aid, exacerbating the dire conditions in the camps.
